Atypical Play- Making play meaningful for all
The role of play can never be overstated in the life of a typically developing child – after all playing is not a child’s play! Play plays a very important role in the physical and socio emotional development of a child. Playing helps children develop skills of focus, following instructions, gross and fine motor development, development coordination, turn taking, learning to work as a team , accepting failure and success in equal strides and so much more. Yet, when it comes to children who develop atypically and children whose senses perceive the world differently, we are often left wondering does play, as we understand the term, make sense for them at all!
Learning is something that cannot be confined to the walls of a classroom. We learn the best when we experience something, and open ourselves to experiences that are new to us. Learning is organic; and for many children it happens organically in play spaces- spaces where they have the freedom to be themselves and explore. But is this true for children who perceive the world differently? This is something that we intend to throw more light on through this workshop.
Dhwani – Voices of Practitioners Driving Inclusion in Classrooms by Shwetha Srivathsan (Bookosmia) is a practical and inspiring resource for teachers on building inclusive classrooms.
Participants of this workshop will receive a complimentary copy of the book.

When Play Turns Lessons into Experiences
In this workshop, participants will get to experience a fun classroom game where players build and protect ecosystems while tackling real-world challenges. Through play, they will see how students naturally begin to explore cause and effect, think in systems, and solve problems together. The session will also open up a conversation on how playful learning can make lessons more engaging and meaningful, helping students connect ideas, reflect on their choices, and learn in ways that feel exciting and real.
This workshop captures the spirit of Learning Gone Wild by bringing learning to life through play. Just like in nature, players explore a world that is full of surprises and connections. The experience shows that learning doesn’t always have to follow a fixed path, it can grow, change, and lead to unexpected discoveries.

Stories That Transform Learning: A StoryPedagogy® Masterclass
In our fast-paced world, teachers struggle to make learning joyful, parents want deeper growth beyond test scores, and children crave connection with what they learn. Research shows traditional instruction leads to rapid forgetting—the Ebbinghaus curve confirms most learning fades within days.
StoryPedagogy® uses narrative as a cognitive Active-Story-Based-Learning (ASBL) framework. Stories activate whole-brain engagement, improving retention and transfer of knowledge to new contexts.Through cycles of listening, questioning, imagining, and acting, stories flow across subjects—linking language with science, sustainability, and life skills.
Teachers gain inquiry-led frameworks. Parents see real-world connections. Children think, care, and create. Proven through research in 200+ schools across India.
“Learning Gone Wild” means unleashing curiosity instead of containing it. Traditional environmental education treats nature as content to memorise. Story-driven discovery treats it as a living system to investigate.

Graffiti: A Story of Faith, Action, and Restoration
Set against the sacred backdrop of Melukote’s Dhanushkoti Rock, this award-winning documentary captures an extraordinary act of community-driven conservation. Graffiti follows a group of 25 IT professionals who, in collaboration with the Puttannaiah Foundation and Explore Nation, took on the mission to clean and restore a revered heritage site — believed to be where Lord Ram once shot an arrow to quench Sita’s thirst.
Produced by Mohammed Suhaib, Founder of Affectionate Hands, the film highlights how everyday citizens can become custodians of cultural and environmental heritage. Recognized with two international awards, Graffiti is an inspiring testament to the power of collaboration, devotion, and action — a story that reminds us that preserving the past is also a way of protecting our future.
